Munir tries to seek asylum in Australia. He has spent more than IDR 60 milions to travel to Indonesia.
FYI, He is illegal. He came here with a help from an agent. He traveled with boat from Pakistan to Malaysia. Then crossed the ocean to enter Medan. After that, he took a flight to Jakarta and now live temporary in Bogor.
He has to wait to get the approval from UNHCR in Indonesia to live and then become Australian citizen.
This procces takes lots of time. He said for more than six months he has to live in Bogor. He isn't allowed to go outside Bogor and Jakarta, otherwise the police will arrest him.
I hope the procces goes well and he gets asylum.
It was very heartbreaking when he told me that his mom cried by the time he left. But he has no other choice. He has to seek better life in better country.
His big brother, named Javed is already in Australia. Next, it's gonna be Munir.
After that, Munir's little brother will also seek asylum. And maybe his mother, his father and the whole family.
I couldn't understand why there's still racist in this world. Why do we have to kill the other? Can we just live in peace? People love each other. Hand in hand build and shape this world to be a better and safe place to live.
